Day 24 - Bollywood Bollywood Bvery Bvery Jollywood

"You can make more friends in two months" (in my case one month) "by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years trying to get other people interested in you" - Dale Carnegie

I have met so many amazing, interesting, loving. and fun people in this month than I likely will the rest of my lifetime.  For this I am so thankful. I just love learning about other people's lives.  I learn more about myself through them than I do in books.  What a gift.

Speaking of gifts, today was my teacher training assessment. My intention for class was Embracing the Challenge and changing the vocabulary from challenge to gift.  I was so nervous but eventually I eased into it and it felt wonderful to be "gifting a class to my yoga family" when really it was a gift for me.  I received really good feedback.  Our group is so lovely and everybody so very supportive. I feel very relieved to have that part behind me now ... I've officially taught my first yoga class. Yay!

In the morning we wrote our Pranayama, Kriya, Mudra Philosophy test and it went well also. Bex and I went for a lovely walk on the beach before lunch, talked and collected a few seashells.

There is a rock at the end of our beach, and the tide comes in here just so that it makes these crazy tree patterns in the sand

Then we went into Palolem to study in the A/C.  I prepped for my class.  We also popped in to Chaudey so Bex and her mom could mail postcards and I got a few Indian sweets to have after dinner to celebrate finishing my teacher training assessment. I shared a couple pieces with Helen who told me she dreams of Indian sweets. They are delish.

After dinner Rupesh put on a Bollywood movie and a bunch of us got up on the Satva stage for an impromptu dance session.  There was even a song with a Spanish flair so Line and I did some Cuban salsa too.  We got Rupesh up dancing - he's got some moves, right down to the little shirt tug ... Watch some Bollywood you'll get what I mean.

We were all so drenched as though the sky had opened up and rained on us.  Then Kranti put on mine and Bex's (and apparently Faye's) favorite song (Badtameez Dil) which has the lyrics Bollywood Bollywood Bvery Bvery Jollywood and it's our favorite part of the song.  We're going to have to get a shirt made in town.

One more exam and assessment tomorrow.

It's going to be a great day! I can feel it.

Namaste

J
