Good times, great food, fun adventures ... Ants

Today was the first full day at Kranti and the day before training starts.  Had a great sleep. Got up, went for a walk to the beach, lounged with tea on the suspended beds in the Shala and met all the new people arriving. Had a lovely breakfast.

Buffet style mealtimes . . . where we ate all our meals

Ola, Bex, Rose, Elaine, Alexa, Cheska, Brooke,  Jill and others in the distance
Went for an exploration of the area and got some amazing pictures of local people who actually were asking to have their photo taken.  Very cool! I've never experienced that before.

Lindsay, Satara and Line as we set out walking down Patnem Beach to explore

Very typical boat seen on the beaches for use by locals

local bus stop

I just missed a perfect shot here with a cow walking by the sign, but he disappeared around the corner

Laundry hanging on the line doesn't look so beautiful whilst not in India

Two local women who really wanted their photo taken

Beauty captured

A local family who was so thrilled to have their photos taken

The absolute joy they experience when seeing themselves captured on film warms my heart from the inside

Shopped down Beach Road and bought a cute dress! Went swimming in the ocean and relaxed on the beach for awhile.

The spice shop

I woke this morning to find the bites I got last night had swollen exponentially, spread out and filled with venom. Gonna keep an eye on them and if not better in a couple days will go to the doctor.

A girl who just finished her teacher training led a 5:15 class tonight. She did a great job.

Afterwards we went out walking and Lindsay decided she wanted pizza for her last non Ayurvedic night. So Satara and I went to Palolem Beach with her in our first tuktuk. Awesome little beach town. Will go check it out Saturday after yoga during the day.

I also found a beautiful hand made metal singing bowl which will be 1/4 of the price I would pay for one back home (like $40 instead of $300).

Came back to Kranti and had my dinner and went back to the room to get ready for bed.  There was a frog on my bed and as I was trying to scare it out we were both screaming like little girls.

Night night.

Hope you're enjoying the journey with me.

Namaste

J
