So this morning I woke to the sounds of Satara screaming. We've had slimy, sticky little tree frogs enjoying our space with us. Two nights ago I saw one on my bed and just as I saw it it jumped toward me and both her and I screamed. Yes... I screamed over a frog. They're gross. And they move quickly. This created a situation where one of the guys at Kranti came to ensure we were ok - he got rid of the frog.
So we've realized since then they can get into the bathroom over the walls. So Satara sat on the toilet in the dark and a slimy frog jumped off the top of the toilet and grazed her arm. She came out screaming and yelled, "Oh my Gid... So many frogs!" I thought she might vomit. I laughed till I cried. Great start to the day!

Finished out the day with a slow vinyasa flow ocean side with Faye, a lounging chat with Brooke from New York, and a movie called Enlightened Up. It was in the film of a journalist making a documentary about why he started yoga and what he wanted or hoped to gain from it. It was quite funny. The journalists yoga friend takes him to Hawaii to meet her yoga guru and then to India to meet Patthabi Jois, a now recognized guru who developed Ashtanga Primary Series in such a way that it would only take 2 hours out of your day. Kranti even made popcorn.

I'm thinking I might be starting with a parasite as after I eat I get cramps. So I started taking my Chinese herbs last night. Not able to eat much today. Trying to stick to bland rice and plain steamed veggies and finish eating before I feel full. I seemed to be getting better by dinner. The neck situation is a little tenuous tonight but I'll take some Advil.
Other than really missing my family and given that there's a 10.5 hour difference which makes it difficult to connect with them, it was a good day at Kranti for this girl.
Namaste all
J
