5 more sleeps
5 more sleeps and I'm off to Goa India for my yoga teacher training at Kranti Yoga.
Honestly, this is something I saw myself doing in my retirement years, but conversations with my husband about where we see our lives and what we see ourselves doing in the next couple years has catapulted me to a different mindset. Then fatefully one of the Donkey races brought me back to a friend I used to do Energy Exchange with at the yoga studio I go to. I mentioned to her that I was really wanting to get my yoga teacher training sooner than later so that I may have a career that I can take with me throughout our travels. She mentioned that she was planning on going to India in the spring, "You should come with me", she said. I didn't think it was possible given we had just come home from Morocco. After speaking with my hubby about it he encouraged me that there was no time like the present, and in this way I could take the next year or two to build my teaching practice, deepen my own practice and be marketable/employable/comfortable when we were ready to start a new journey.
So I did some research and talked with Satara about it and together we found a great place in Goa, "Kranti Yoga". It spoke to both of us and just seemed like a great fit. We were even able to share our accommodations.
It is so nice to go with a familiar person when you will be away from home and family for 5 weeks; someone to share your experience, to be there to encourage and support one another, to study with . . . that kinship is invaluable.
We will be learning Ashtanga/Vinyasa Flow yoga. It will be a gruelling schedule but such an enriching, life changing experience filled with growth, knowledge, spiritual awakening, and love for self. I am very excited.
I will use this space to journal my daily experiences and share photos with all of you whom I love from afar.
I hope you all enjoy this journey with me. I will see you when I get back.
Love and light.
Namaste
J
